I wanted to share a model Ive been working on. I really fell in love with handpainted characters and its what Ive been doing the most. I created a monster from Hob, the upcoming game from Runic Games.
I've been really into hand painted pieces and wanted to practice more. You can download the rig and do with it as you please, you can get it here. I created a thread where you can find more information about the process and since I want to practice more and I want to do a LoL champ, you can let me know what champ to do next, rig it and give it away like this one. I'm going to be playing with Crease+ for a while! Feels so good to model with it.

My aim is to be able to apply this landscape shader to any height map and it will just work, with complex automatic features.
This is the first stage of the material. No splat maps are in use only a heightmap.
Additionally all masking is done mathematically without the use of any textures.
Once I have the masking functions done I will move on to the more advanced features, and add textures.
