Turbosmooth set to 7 is insane overkill, but ok. I imported the OBJ and reset Smoothing Groups to a single group. I added a Slice modifier to cut away the rest of the model. TurboSmooth at 7. Displace, and loaded your EXR in the OSL Uber Bitmap node. Maybe your import settings need adjustment?
There most definitely is :) Realtime dynamic lighting and shadowing in only 7 colors, well technically 14 colors, 7 shades of blood and 7 shades of everything else lol.
On top of what Vic mentioned, in the dark enviro, there seems to be a lot of black assets. Make sure your texturing typically falls between values of .3 to .7, it'll make it easier to light.
