Hey, just finished making the lowpoly and highpoly of my tank for an "Intro to 3D for Games 1B" assignment at University. Well, I say finished but I need to reduce the triangle count by at leat 7000. Which the two cranes on the side of the tank come to, I do not know why they are so high but I will work on that. Once the…
Hello all, I am trying to achieve something like this in Maya Renderer or Arnold Renderer: I have a model and animation ready and I know how to do the regular batch render, but I was wondering if it was somehow possible to do a batch or sequence render of the World Normals? The most simple solution I can think of is to…
I spent a few hours over the weekend making a Unity 5 FX test - my original intention was just to make things look nice without worrying about drawcalls etc. My inspiration was from my background in photography: Compose a scene, and tweak about in Lightroom. Except this time, do everything realtime in Unity. Everything is…
Your stuff is pretty great. Right now when I look at your images it looks like Fallout but doesn't really feel like Fallout to me. There's a couple things that might help your scene. A dirt and debris pass would help a lot I think. Most importantly I think your overall colors and contrast are off (from fallout 3 at least).…
It's better to embed the images directly into your post, than to use Attach File (which makes it difficult to scroll through the images). You can drag-and-drop images directly into the post editor, or you can use the Attach Image button (looks like a little landscape painting). It is natural for normal maps to show…

The game was called Block-a-lot, a video of the game can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4FJ0ovMGBE Blockalot was designed around the…
I'm not sure how many of ya are active XBLA players but some of you might have heard of Screwjumper!, which got released a few weeks ago now. It's my second shipped title now for XBLA, and while it got exceptionally poor reviews (especially in visuals and controls) I gained a metric fuckton of knowledge from it. Instead of…
For the last year and change I've had the great pleasure of working at a studio in Seattle called AtomJack. My coworkers and I (12 of us, altogether) were working on the first game for the studio, known simply as project "Wayward" (we were still in the process of coming up with an official name). Wayward was the story of a…
