Not too shabby, but it needs work. The modeling is pretty solid and the legs look great! Crits: - As mentioned previously, the face is too wide. For a "realistic sci-fi feel" the width is telling us Wile-E-Coyote. Check out some proper wolf/dog/coyote reference and maybe do a search for werewolf/wolfman/lycan ref also,…
Hi polycount, I started this as a doodle but now I wanna do the full character. I played a bit with transmogs in game to use as my concept. I can't decide which armor set I should make, they all look nice to me. You can vote for the one you prefer ! Or say if you'd like to see some parts mixed with others. Seeker of the…
Hey guys. Im simply trying to drape some cloth over my armor and as you can see. the cloth is harshly sticking to my armors edges and when i pull it away it just re-clings to the edge. I've tried setting the skin offset of the avatar to a higher amount but that doesn't seem to fix it. and I've also tried rescaling the…
Hello Everyone, Just another project i have going on. Lately pretty much all of my portfolio works have been Monster Hunter related. Not sure why. I just love the art. So this time i took one of my fav looking armor sets and wanted to use the HP sculpt to bake AO and whatever other textures i needed and then have the…
Hey everyone, I have some questions related to rigging an armor wearing character. In my case it's my Ultra Marine Model from the Warhammer 40K Universe. If there are already posts explaining what I am asking, then I am terribly sorry, but I just couldn't find what I was searching for. I am quite bad with rigging and I…
So I have been working on a few armor pieces in Zbrush, I want to retopo it in Maya. However, I'm not too sure how to go about this, is quad draw a good solution? I want to make the armor fairly inorganic looking. Any tips here would be great!
Another small update, here's a overview of the weapon/prop hipolys I'm making: I'm going to take these from Maya into Zbrush and tweak them a bit, than re-import them into Maya and make sure they export correctly with the color ID masking I've done. Additionally, here are a few of the models on the (updated) light armor…
Hello, i am new to this forum. and i am also new to Zbrush, recently i have been working on a Project regarding Historically Accurate Samurai armors. I wanted to make variations of different type each, now one of them however, seems rather "decorative" I planned to make an Armor with this style of lacing.…
Up to this point, I've stuck to creating weapons, almost exclusively. I like to make mods for Skyrim as motivator to see a 3D creation all the way through to the end. I've never been able to find a purpose in making 3D art purely for the sake of it existing. And I don't need a portfolio because this is just a hobby and not…
