Eever since I was very young, I liked to design things like these. I wanted to become a 3D artist but I only like drawing with a ruler. So I got a certificate from Full Sail University where I learned about Maya. Does anyone know which software is best for this kind of art, or what kind of job should I get?
While I'm working on Nightwing, here is my current progress on Catwoman. The head is based off of Jaimie Alexander. I tried sculpting the head without the hair on this one, and I think it really paid off, thanks for the advice moonlazer. Here's a reference sheet of the head http://i.imgur.com/rgMXiqz.jpg Right now the body…
I think it's safe to assume his online handle is "docillgun", not bloodpen, since some of the images are signed "docillgun"... Very nice artwork though. After looking for Direwolf's posts on CA, it is likely it's the same guy (he's Korean, and gets very good comments on his work) - but all the links in his posts are…
Hey everyone. =) Final WIP update before final renders, closing in on the finish line! The scene is now in its polish phase. I’ve refined the layout, filled out the spaces with props, tightened up materials, and brought the lighting close to its final pass. I’ve also been texturing several key assets in Substance Painter.…
I’m excited to share my latest environment art project: a post-apocalyptic classroom workshop, created in Unreal Engine 5. Watch the Video: https://youtu.be/Uy470_QVEfc Breakdown: https://youtu.be/0OPbNM3nmbw Modeling was done in blender and texturing was done in Painter. I also used Quixel Mixer to blend materials.…
Simple automation tools are easily done by chat GPT. Blender is where it shines actually. What I'd love to see is a kind of deeper Blender customization. A 2d vector editor mode with editable spline brushes driven by grease pensil. The whole "draw" mode is quite inconvenient currently . I want something like "skeletal"…
I would like constructive cricitism on my recent sculpt. First I'll explain the process of my modeling in hopes that people can give feedback there too (like if I've done a certain step inefficiently) The character I sculpted is from Re:Zero Regulus Corneas. The main reference image and the pose I followed is here. However…
Kurt Busiek and Cary Nord lured me in when they launched a retelling of Robert E. Howards Conan stories in Darkhorse comics. Then they left for a while, others tried to continue it and it just wasn't the same, so I checked out the original REH novels.... I've reread everything he wrote 2 or 3 times now. So I'm going to…
Hi guys, I'm looking to gather information on scenes like these below. Basically a water scene which is limited to a volume. It doesn't have to be 3d, but most of them are anyways. So yeah, if you can link to such images I'd be very happy (and I'm sure others love this style as well!)
