Is there a way in Maya to have Sub-Ds not turned on in the maya viewport, but when you render the scene it will render in sub-d mode. The reason I ask is because I have I very dense scene, over 1 million triangles lol. It is for school, but my computer at home is struggling to run the scene in sub-d mode.

The triangles are usually caused from texture padding around render to texture dialogue - especially around floating geometry.
