Hi all! I'm yet another long time lurker, first-time poster. I've been working on my entry for the Blizzard mini-enviro contest. My concept is a combination crypt/library...or something along those lines. There's still a few days left to work on it, so I'm taking suggestions. Help me out?
Hey I am currently doing an indoor church environment. I was wanting to put some stained glass windows on parts of the walls. Is there a way I can do this so that it can allow sun beams to travel through it and possibly take some of the color of the glass to cast colored shadows on the other wall? I really dont know how to…
Hi, search for snefner here, he made props and whole enviro with 512z256 texture :D . Ok my point was not to bring you down but to bring it in your head that with Modular a lot is possible. Looking at your concept i feel like stealing it and make my own enviro too, but im already making one :D so may b next time :) .…
Hey I am currently making big environmental modular pieces for a scene I am doing in the UDK. When creating walls I usually sculpt a brick and place different sides by rotating and adjusting them for my normal map. My question is this. How would I go about creating large environmental pieces with lets say 1000 bricks. Do i…
I played around modeling a landscape thing and baked a normal map for it in zbrush. I made the normal map at 2048 x 2048. It's nothing great just playing around at the moment. I was wondering if anyone has made normal maps for terrains made from displacement maps. What's a better way of doing this? do you unwarp each part…

First up was the enviroment: A few good modular chunks here as well as some fun more unique store fronts. Next up is props! To be honest i didnt see there was such a little range of…
Wanted to try and take a shot at building my first enviroment and try to learn UDK. Decided to go for a pretty simple scene from The Dark Knight movie. Basically at the moment I'm just blocking it out, before going in to build the high-poly's. Was thinking about building some modular pieces for this scene, like the…
That's a great feedback sandwich if I ever saw one, thank you! Yes, I was imagining I'd try and split up my art station in a few categories, such as "All" and "Environments/Props", per what makes sense to send to different type positions, maybe a little bit like Mark van Haitsima - https://www.artstation.com/mvhaitsma Nice…
