Do any of you professionals rate Paul Steed?
Or to be more precise, his modeling techniques? Im thinking of getting his book: I already have the first edition, but im sure I read on here a while back that some of you thought his techniques a bit old fasioned? If you don't rate his techniques, what would you recommend? Thanks in advance! -

I hate UV wrapping.
I'm attempting a low poly model for the polycount sub 1000 thread. I'm uvwrapping now. I already set up all the other parts of the body, except for the main body itself. I'm having a difficult time getting a good uv map out of it. I tried several seams, but none of them helped to produce a good shape. Maybe I tried… -

FAT_CAP - cheers for that. yeah i liked that character at the time. looks a bit dated now though I have some pieces from 'the outsider' at frontier, but that's still ongoing. could be vaporware though:) will probably set up a custom scene in UDK for my characters. have to relearn matinee also rendering in zbrush is tough… -

So... Sorted out all my bakes and adjusted a few things here and there. The character itself is done for the time being, I'll build it a stand or mini scene when I get a chance but I'm eager to move on to something new before I start to hate this. Sorry, rant, ignore me. The new Tim Fite album "Fair Ain't Fair" is 13ishUS dollars on Amazon.com and 13ish UK pounds on Amazon.co.uk (that's 25 dollars at the exchange rate). But amazon do digital downloads! It's only $9 as an MP3 album (and lets face it, I'd be ripping it as soon as I got it). Except - digital downloads… -
Re: Advice with secondary forms
Tried adding some of the underlying shapes, based on the Eternal model, around the lats. I've also done a bit more with the upper portion of the back. Will try and tackle a bit more of that back exercise later. Once that's finished I'll add it to my sketchbook. :) -
