* This project has been commissioned * Hello everyone, I'm looking for an Unrealscript programmer to write a 3D object viewer app with UDK for iPad and iPhone. The app would have the following features: - fixed landscape viewing mode - the entire screen is filled with a 3D scene, which has a 3D object in the center (e.g.…
Ok, here is the final low-poly model of the robot with skeleton. It can't get any better than this. Im at 997 tris. I eliminated unviewable edges and faces, and got a few extra edges in where needed. This is as far as I go with the 1000k model. Now all I need to do is accurately skin it and texture it. Then I will move on…
I have created some uv's on an object, then I rotated them 35 degrees, I changed my mind and decided to go with a bigger texture 512x256, I turn on the apect ratio button in the texture editor window so the texture and uv's do not look squashed and now that I am trying to rotate the uv's back to their original positoin…
Hey Folks, Does anyone know how you could create a system to act like a throttle in 3D Max. For example turn up a dial and wheel starts, turn it down and the rotation slows etc. I've had a play with using a float script on a rotation axis in Max but at the moment if I turn down a dial it just reverses the rotation rather…
I would think there is a way to export the mesh correctly scaled from Pixys Studios or inventor. If it's importing with incorrect scaling into max from an FBX, then something is incorrect with the scale before it's even imported. Max won't apply scale to fbx's that have models with say 235% scale or whatever, it'll retain…
@ Dekard: it can be made to that, like a light table, but i dont really rotate my cintiq. the only app i used to do that in what photoshop, but now you can rotate the canvas freely. when i am working in 3d i can just rotate the object however i want. in art school i use to tape my paper to the desk anyhow to keep the paper…
Hi I'm trying to use some MEL code to orient a EP curve control to a joint and while it puts the control in the correct orientation it offsets the control away from the joint. Why does this happen? The code is below: ___________________________________________________________________________________________ { string $sel[]…
Hi, this is an English rewrite of my Japanese Blog post, about a simple idea on how to rig shoulder armors. The original blog post can be found here(Japanese). http://polygonomicon.blog111.fc2.com/blog-entry-179.html Since it seems to be somewhat handy to some people, I decided to rewrite it in English, so we could share.…
Well I've tried rotating both the feet and the platforms. Yea if I remember correctly, rotating the feet didn't do anything (something to do with the IK chain maybe?), and rotating the platforms only slightly fixes things, but you can never make the feet "level". If you rotate the platforms, the feet swing from "diagonal…
While it is more of an annoyance and can be worked with, my ViewCube in 3ds Max has a tendency to rotate differently as things progress. For awhile in one file it'll keep the camera pointed at the mesh I am currently working on, then at some point I rotate the camera with the ViewCube and it'll rotate the camera as if the…
