With a slider of number of colors? A node that would output two things : A pallete and a grayscale representation of indexed colors ? Sometimes I wonder why we use true colors RGB textures for the base color while typical albedo/base color texture is 10-15 colors at best. Or is there a way to import those things from…
You guys make me sick! No, not really. I can't tell all of you how much I admire yall. I visit this site every day in hopes that one day I can create art like you guys do. Unfortunately I have no artistic abilities. Maybe one day, when the Navy lets me, I'll get to take some time out and start to learn 3DS or Maya well…
Hey! So im working on the FlippedNormal Warlock Environment challenge. And would really love some feedback on the environment as it is right now! Below are some screenshots from Unity. I will also add in a screenshot of my UV's and base mesh from Maya. The current process I go through with the assets is making a base mesh…
Figured I'd give this a thread instead of P&P, so I can get some proper critiques as I go. This is my first full hipoly to lowpoly bake, so I'm learning a lot along the way and am definitely making mistakes as I progress. Please feel free to critique away. Props to Izmojuki for the great concept artwork this is based on.…
Hey, everyoneHope you all doing well. It's been a bit of time since the last time I posted anything up. Well, I decided to start a little project. It's about a creature that has been grown in the lab but something went wrong and the creature awakens. Upon the awakening the creature emits a shriek that breaks the glass…
I have question if you had a grey neutral back plane environment like the MetaHumansLighting presets scene in Unreal. I want to have this Glass shader to look nice but I think the glass shader isn't going to work well as it hasn't got anything to reflect from just the grey environment surrounding. Even if i reflection…
Hi guys, my name is completely irrelevant. I came here because of two reasons. 1. There was the whole "Polycount Contest" for Team Fortress 2. 2. I've heard that this is one of the best sites for people who 3D model. So, if you're still with me, onto my question. How do I make models for TF2 items? I have searched…
Latest update: Out of time! No where near the level I wanted to get it to, but I'll keep working on it and see what I can do with it anyway. /update --------- I'm going to illustrate Warwick! I've always thought he was cool, but I'm a sucker for badass werewolves. Going to stick with his base design, absolutely my…
Sorry, with "straightening" I didn't want to sound odd in any way, my apologies, I merely tried to use it in a wider sense as an umbrella term describing not only unwrapping perspective projection into front ortho one but also making the image ready for tile-able texture and have regularly spaced repeating details ,…
If you're adding texture details on top of a baked normal map there really shouldn't be any issues. As long as you're doing it in a way which does not alter the base baked normal map, like leveling the blue channel out at 127 and overlaying it for instance. Now if you don't have a baked normal map to start with, there is…
