Latest update: Out of time! No where near the level I wanted to get it to, but I'll keep working on it and see what I can do with it anyway.

I'm going to illustrate Warwick! I've always thought he was cool, but I'm a sucker for badass werewolves. Going to stick with his base design, absolutely my favorite.
I've got some thumbnails done to choose from, and whichever I choose i want him to be in a moment of either dynamic action or coiled in tension. I'll pick a few to explore further.
One thing I want to do with this entry is make sure I have good contrast between focal areas and unimportant areas from the beginning, and don't noodle on unimportant things.

Been a busy week, haven't got much done but want to iterate on some of these ideas and see how I can make them work better before settling on something.
Started variations of the howling one - main issue is getting cool character elements in the composition like all the alchemy gear on his back when looking at him from the front, without turning him around and facing away from the viewer.
Makes me think a pose where he can be twisting in action or hunched and prowling might work better, but we'll see.
More thumbnail exploration.
Chasing a victim.
Slashing a victim.
Starting to get things figured out so I can get blocking out colours and rendering - Will be tweaking things the whole way but at least want to solve as many problems as I can up front.
Still lots to do:
- I'm thinking I'll turn the victim into a robot so he can be slashed apart and sparks can be shooting out.
- Have to make the background look like Zaun style architecture and get a decent amount of detail but not too much.
- Render a lot, especially the focal areas.
- Mainly starting to sort out my values right now, trying to get it roughly in the ballpark of the official splash illustrations and (starting) to keep a lid on too much bright value like in this tutorial: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php/148355-translation-LINRAN-s-Light-and-Colour-Tutorial-Mini-tut-BIG-download
