Like everyone said above, having something that isn't art related that you do on the side is a good distraction. I like to play the guitar and take day trips sometimes. Bike riding, photography, going for a light jog... stuff like that helps with "resetting" your creative juices. -

Modeling Roots/Vines

Just my initial thoughts- Try different relaxing methods if your software supports it. Try having the middle seam be a straight line on the UVs and see if you like that look, Like do a sphere projection for the top and a cylinder for a bottom and try to line up the seams and merge them. -

Got a project bike
Someone was going to send thier old motorcycle to the scrapyard, but said I could have it if I wanted it. Everything is locked up on it. Thge paint is crap and the seat needs replaced. Did you do any concept work, or are you just roughing it out in 3d? I'd suggest going back and working on the silhouette. Right now it has a very simple shape and some things like the vertical thruster are just kinda there and not doing anything for the form of the bike.
