I suggest reading this article to see how to align your UVs at the right texel/pixel : http://www.worldofleveldesign.com/categories/udk/udk-lightmaps-02-uv-techniques-and-how-to-create-second-uv-channel-in-maya.php The lower the resolution, the less pixel you will have, therefore you will loose in precision. If your UV…
That might be too problematic to do. The filesize alone is 300MB+. Thanks for the offer though. I have found a work around by rendering out multiple maps so the bad pixels change and then using Photoshop remove the red pixels and fill the holes with the maps that don't have a red pixel in that position. Not practical if I…
I use mostly Designer and old version of 3d coat to paint mask for it. For some reason what I get in Painter is always a tad bit blurrier and less pixel-to-pixel accurate. I tried to copy all my fx maps and 32 bit based pixel processors that I did to work with pixel grid snapping in Designer but it's always a pain in your…
Is there a plugin or tool I'm unaware of that will display how many pixels x and y (2d) a currently selected object is on the screen? I'm working on some manual LOD's and the engine works on the pixels shown to switch to each detail level.
I don't have maya in front of me right now, but there's an option in the UV editor somewhere to snap UVs to pixel corners or pixel centres. I think it might be "grid UVs". Definitely helpful for low-res lightmaps.
I use this, I don't remember where I found it it was about 3-4 years ago? Color, letters, circles, and it even lets me check pixel density because it has a faint per-pixel checker.
This is how the bake looks, by the way. Even the 8k bake doesn't look much better. There are fewer pixelation-induced gaps where there should be hair but the pixelation itself doesn't really decrease. What am I doing wrong..?
Hello! Im new on Maya and im trying to render with arnold. As i see in a tutorial i assigned Aiimage/AiNormalMap/AistandardSurface in my model. When i use Ainormalmap in arnold render view i see pixels in my model. What im doing wrong
I absolutely love this style of modelling. http://www.kennethfejer.com/lowpoly.html I've been a pixel artist for years, and I'd love to know if there's a tutorial on this kind of mix between pixel art and low poly modelling? I've tried to just wing it, but it didn't turn out too good.
Hello! My name is Hien. I am a 2D pixel artist looking for any kind of work. Rates are negotiable. Here is a link to my portfolio HERE. Refresh the page a few times if it doesn't load up the first time. You can email me at drewratt94@gmail.com
