Heyo everyone. So I started to work on an idea I had. Although I am not the best at drawing, I will still try to do my best. I tried asking my friend for help as he is better than me, but he is busy so I will have to try myself. I really want to get this out there but I am not sure if I can finish it or not. I guess the…
I am working on building some assets right now to eventually throw together in UDK. I am not sure who did the concept art but I really dig the whole scene. This is pretty much the first scene that I have attempted to construct. A lot of the perimeter elements can be modeled as modular pieces but as far as the center…
I realize there's been some weird shit I disagree with posted since the first page, and I admit I've only scanned over some of the larger chunks of it, but whatever. This is mainly in response to the first post. Also, this is pretty long-winded, but I'm trying to unpack the whole thing. This is my current take on the whole…
I feel like I'm missing something small, but I'm trying to set up a material that uses an ambient cubemap for ambient lighting. It took me a while to figure out how to set up the orientation, but now I can't figure out how to apply it properly. I've tried multiplying it with the diffuse map into the diffuse channel, but it…
Are my UVS ok or are they too tight? I'm modeling a room that has one of this hospital beds in it and I'm trying to get the normals as good as they can be and I know that it depends on two things. The UVS and the Smoothing groups. Anyways , the bed has a lot of little pieces and I was wondering if maybe i packed it a…

...I think we might not be seeing eye to eye on the meaning of the word "right". If by "the customer is always right" you mean "the customer deserves your patience and best efforts", then you and I are in agreement. But then it seems to me you might as well just say it. It's not like it takes a lot more effort to say so.
Only thing I can think of is too maybe crush some of those midtones and get some more light on her face. Shes fairly evenly lighten right now. Also there seems to be a strange highlight on her right hip, a reflection of your plane light? Other than that nice work!
Have you tried resetting the lights? As for the light itself if you click on display (on the 3d view window), and check 'lights' you can see the actual light source. I believe shift+right click moves the light in and out, and shift+left click rotates the light.
I prefer this link https://www.artstation.com/elibrose because it allows people to see what programs you used for each piece while your site and artstation link do not. @alexk did a great summary and my feelings mirror what he said. I think you have an unnecessary amount of things on artstation. Being completely honest if…
