Hi, I am trying out Modo and are having some trouble with the normals direction on the faces/polygons. The problem was found after I opened it in Mari. Is there a way to se these kind of problems in Modo? So I can fix em before export. Fixed it with "Mesh Cleanup" btw.
I want to make a window that looks like this: http://imgur.com/uTK85 1) I can use the "insert edge loop tool" to cut all the vertical and horizontal shapes, but then I get stuck on the diagonal cuts. I can do them using the "split polygon tool", but how can I make sure that the angles I'm cutting them are exactly the same…
Hey guys, I was just wondering when you are making something in maya or max is it allowable to delete faces that wont be seen by the player like side of walls, undersides etc. Or should they always be filled in? The attachment shows what i mean Thanks guys!
I took a day to do a sculpt and this is what i got so far, I want to do more with the armor and i am going to put and angry face on him. but i want to know what you guys think, all critiques are welcome. Hope you guys like it :)
I have tried to use ZBrush to make a high poly version for the Normals map, however I had this error: These faces only disappear at certain angles. I have already checked the normals in my model in 3ds Max, and they seem fine. Any help?
Hello all, this is my second attempt at creating a rock face in Zbrush. My first attempt was horrible. Please let me know what I've done right and wrong, I want to get this right. I'm looking to eventually put some Zbrush work in my portfolio. I appreciate the help. Thanks!
Everytime I try it looks like a horrible mess, I have 0 idea how to bake a normal for a face. Any help would be appreciated, I have Maya, and Xnormal atm.
