Hello, So on my way to make a run cycle with clothes, I came to this problem : Its seems like a partch of the trench follows the arm. What could fix that? I almost tried everything.. Thanks !
Hi Guys! I made retopology of my MD pants but not sure if it is right, I do this for my portfolio as game ready character asset, I saw works of some other artist's and they often highlight folds with topology (pics 1 , female) so i thought about my work (pic 2 , with pink background) should i also highlight folds for my…
Indie project looking for an artist able to create realistic looking and detailed clothing items for a game character taking care of the whole pipeline: High and Low poly modelling, baking, texturing, lightmap baking and weight painting. If you can do what we need we have months of stable work for you. Please send me a PM…
I'm using Shader Forge in Unity to make a shader for translucent cloth. But I can't figure out how to get shadows to show on the back side of the surface. I did this a few years ago in a custom game engine. It worked great, but the shader was done under-the-hood, not exposed to…
So I have a question. Its more like "how do I approach this?" kinda thing. Im working on a personal project where Im making an alien that would put into unreal engine and stuff. The character has four arms and some robes on him. I wanna have it where his two small arms are hidden within his robes and he has guns underneath…
I have been following Naughty dog's work for sometime now and I am beginning to feel that they use a lot of blendshapes or morphing technique in order to nail down realism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmD2MVlPGGk This is the latest video from ND and I was actually taken back by the characters taking off their suits.…

Hi, fellows! I was locked out of my previous account so I had to start fresh with this one. I was wondering if anyone can suggest me a way to create a lowpoly mesh for the cape of the character I'm sculpting. Just a plane won't do the trick, but I want it to be light enough so that i can animate it as a cloth later on.
If you want to simulate cloth you will need a dense mesh composed by polygons as square as possible (not stretched rectangles), then pin the top border and add something behind in order to emulate the supports. My experience with cloth simulation is very limited but you'll probably have to play around with the settings for…
So I'm still pretty new to Substance Designer, but I am getting the hang of it. I am using it on my stylized pirate character. Right now trying to make a believable fabric/cloth texture is killing me. I'm using one of the default fabric substances to try and blend the material onto my base textures, but I can not get the…
