A couple of great things happening in the 3D game art community today! * GameArtisan's has a great thread on male/female topology. * Eat3D has a great, FREE, video for ZBrush to Blender shennanigans. Click on through for full details. Over at GameArtisans there's a wonderful thread started by Mrpearlzildjian about creating…
..and rendered using Blender's Cycles. Looks great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf3ALGKgpGU It's a mid-budget Chinese production supported and hosted by Netlfix. Some info on the Rigging here: https://www.riggingdojo.com/2018/09/07/blender-rigging-for-netflix-next-gen/ Reaction from the Blender community (hate their…
Click here to Download now Designers frequently grapple with the formidable challenge of achieving the pinnacle of image quality, often resulting in exasperation. To address this pervasive concern, I've meticulously compiled a comprehensive guide entitled 'The Art of Realism with Blender.' This invaluable resource is…
I've started using a workflow of Sketch & Sculpt in Curvy 3D 4.0 and render in Blender. As dev of Curvy 3D I've experimented with adding various rendering solutions over the years from raytracers to HDRI maps - but I've decided it is much better to focus on easy model sketching and export to other apps for rendering - in…
Hi I am trying to use a blockout from Unreal engine to render with in blender but when I do I have tons of these lines all over, it only happens with blockout meshes from UE. Anyone know how to solve this to get rid of all the the grose looking lines? I am using the lineart Modifier rendering in cycles.
I think I found what's wrong but as I'm not a Blender expert I can't explain you why it doesn't work. You are using Blender with the Blender Render and you have the "Use shader nodes to render the material" checked, this prevents you from painting, if you uncheck it, and you'll be able to paint again. Blender Render seems…

I have been following the Blender Noob to Pro wikibook, but would also like more learning material in video form. What are some well known resources for learning the majority of what Blender has…

Question 1) How to extrude a verticie from a polygon such that only the verticie and edge are created. In blender its simply done by clicking on…
This is so odd. So what i want to do is make a Polygroup in Zbrush then export it into blender so i can Hand Unwrap it, And then Assign a SINGLE MAT to it, so when i open Substance painter ill be texturing on one material and being able to CRTL+RM to assign material easier. ISSUES are Zbrush options are "Export Polygroups…
Dalai Felinto is re-writing texture baking in Blender right now (introduction here). It will be based on a quite new (now standard) Blender rendering engine, Cycles. It's unbiased, flexibly customizable with nodes and super fast. What's NOT decided yet is the interface and the functionality needed in real full-scale…
