The finished art test for the Arena Net internship position that disappeared a week after I started. I spent the past week or so making the landscape, foliage and a few other buildings to help flesh out the area around the house. If the windmill looks familiar that's because it's based on the one in this concept from The…
Hello guys! I don't know if this is right place for this question, but I already search the net and hadn't found an answer. Any help will be appreciated. I want to rotate this object around the working pivot in way that the vertex in the diagram will snap to the y axis. Is that possible in 3ds Max 2011? Thanks, Jerome
Hi, I have created rock face material for a UDK scene and then rotated the material by 90 degrees each time on 4 assets to create some variation, the problem is that I get the following result, the lighting seems to rotate with the model. There is one dominant directional light lighting the scene. Any ideas its driving me…
Hey guys, So I decided to give anatomy sculpting a try this year, so I'm sharing what I got so far for any possible feedback. Doing this alongside drawing to improve myself, so go nuts with feedback! Hands: Skull: I'm keen to improve at this, so any feedback on these would be appreciated! Thanks for looking!
I want to say that I was able to assign "connect" as a shortcut key in max 6.5 and it work for vertex, edge, and poly mode (Note: it might have been a meshtools function). In Max 9 I can't seam to assign one shortcut for functionality with all three modes. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts. - BoBo

So i've been working on this project for some time although with considerable interruption due to other stuff poping up. Anyway I think it's time to show what I have so far and start a thread about it. So my goal is a new portfolio piece and a another opportunity to learn about hard surface modeling. I got inspired by the…
Or maybe they just enjoy shooting their friends and smack talking? You cast WIDE nets with your generalizations, man... I'm not into COD or BF or whatever, but I was really into Quake which I suppose falls into the same category. It was fun. That was why I played it. It wasn't, to my knowledge, because I was insecure.
looking good on the sword and the helme. I love the silouette of the sword by the hilt. Just one minor point (real nit picky!) Some of the edges of the helmet look a little flat to me.Could be a great oppurtunuty to make use of the specular map. I added spec on the left image (and added a cheeky sharpen)
Oh makes sense, here I have been searching the net for a special technique to 'explode bake' I would think the polygons on the Hi poly need to stay in the same place in order to bake to where the lox polys uv's are, correct? and disturbing them would alter the bake and mess it up.
