Maya 2014: Transparency map issue
I'm trying to use the alpha channel of a targa file to cut out portions of the hair bangs for a character. So I plug the file's outAlpha (with Alpha is Luminence checked) into the shader's transparency RGB via the Connection Editor and it makes the entire hair object semi-transparent as seen in the attached pic. Maya 2014 right click menu not selecting
When I select an object and right click to pick components, selecting edge, vertice, face, etc does not do anything. I remain in object mode. Using maya 2014 64bit with windows 7 and a hd 6950 with no issues. Your problem might be a bad installation of windows 8. I am not sure if windows 8 has comparability mode like windows 7 and vista but if it does try setting it to windows 7 and run it. -
