I've been messing around with transfer maps in maya and I cant figure out why my displacement maps come out looking so grainy. Is this a Vray setting or a material setting that Im not seeing? left side is whats being displaced and right side is my highpoly
Allegorithmic has nice explanations about exporting maps and integrations for different render engines on its documentation pages. And i get nice results for 3dsmax and Vray but just wondering if i connect the height map to displacemetnt map slot and if so what sould be the adjustments?
So I have been debating on whether to invest in Vray and I was wondering if anyone could give me some benefits and drawbacks of either of them. Like which is better quality or which is faster etc. My main priority is obviously quality but obviously speed is useful too. Tell me what you think. Thanks

I've try looking it up online doesn't seem to have any useful tip on rayswitch in vray I am making an eye ball. Everything looks good but the reflection. I am using dome light with and HDRI for the light and GI. But I need to switch the reflection of the eye to catch more spec. Anyone can shine me some tip?
