Hello,
I'm only starting to explore VRay for Maya trough working on my personal project.
While working, I've encountered an issue which I don't know how to solve.
It is reguarding UV tile workflow in VRay and Maya.
First of all, I'm working in Maya 2016 and textures were created in Mari.
When creating UV for my character I've split them into 3 UV tiles. Painted textures in Mari all seamless and exported fine.
When pluging them into VRay skin shader in the path to the files I've set <UDIM> instead of Mari UDIM number.
All seemes right... But when rendering, UV tiles 1 and 3 come out fine with correct colour, but UV tile 2 (the body area) comes out darker.
The same issue occurs even if I try to set it up the old way with multiple texture file nodes joined together.
Could it be an issue with the model itself? Or is it the Shader/Texture issue?
Thank you
Replies
try to use only basic solid color to see if it's a texture issue or in the shader
btw you should move your thread to technical help
