Anyway, just wanted to add this comment. I think you can improve the floor material by blending it with some grunges and adding more decals. This can produce a more cohesive scene since most of the objects you created are pretty grungy,
Small to do list: - bevel edges around columns - create 'grounding' between the sidewalk / parking - Place metal decals on parking. - Finnish window textures Concrete texture had a major do-over. I like how it turned out.
Awesome stuff dudes. I have fallen in love with the megatexture decal stuff, it's so clever. I wish we could do that stuff in other engines without the huge performance cost you get from not baking it all down!

Thanks a lot Ace for that good info. I've been finding that 3 vertex sets for painting is more then plenty now that I test it out and plan my base diffuse a bit better. Also decals could always be added if needed.
What resolution textures are these? If they're all unique, I doubt this would ever fly for todays production. A lot of what you're after could be achieved with proper world textures and decals. As well, normals and spec would help out a bit.
That'd be diffuse, not spec. But I think you could do that in everything since Quake 3. Many games nowadays add wounds where the model is hit, too (Doom 3 is very noticable but it uses too large wound decals).
I am trying to connect a (mi_car_paint_phen_x_passes) to a (Blinn) in Maya 2013. I was going to use a layered shader, but whenever I try to connect the CarPaint it opens the connection editor. I and trying to but a Blinn over the Carpaint, to add a decal to my car model. Thanks

I'm ready to purchase, throw money at this person in exchange, but I can't for the life of me find the thread.
