I like it a lot, but here are my 2 cents.. first beef I have is your links in the top right corner.. 'work resume links Email' why is the E in Email capitalized when the rest of the links are lowercased first letters? I just think it would be better if there was some consistency, make it email, or caps the rest of the…
I didn't realize it until testing, but it appears that light linking using channels allows me to dictate which objects are affected by which lights but no matter what I will always get a shadow from "unaffected" objects when I bake the lighting. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong though. How do I correct this shadow?
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You not being weak in your faith should not have an issue... [/ QUOTE ] Maybe he just finds the idea offensive? Really, I don't get what's so hard to understand. He's a christian, and faith is very important to him. His Dark Materials includes a line that says christianity is a 'very convincing…
How do you do this, without having input in channel box? I know you can cut the face three spots to do so, like in the link below, but maya doesnt seem to let you cut a straight line from a point - very stupid if there really isnt a way... to cut a straight line... in a professional modeling program... Even if I could just…
Does 3d studio max have a feature like move and sew in Maya? I basically want to select all the individual unitized faces, click a single button and then have them all stitch perfectly together automatically. Like this image for example: This is where I'm at in 3d studio max currently. I've figured out how to unitize, but…
@throttlekitty Thank you so much for your answer, I didn't know that the link I wrote was shown in smooth mesh preview mode. I thought I need to convert the preview until my mesh looks smooth.. My goal is to make characters for animations. In that case, when modeling is done should I work with low poly model in substance…
How can I make real-life size screws in 3DS-Max, and I think another way to solve it is to design your own screw and 3D print it in steel. The product needed to be screwed is it going to absorb a lot of force(aeronautics)(10G force at least). Would it be more preferable to model the object(steel) to fit the real-life…
Ah, I see. Some of the cylinders could be straighter. Thanks <3 This is why I like polycount! A bit confused about when the undistorted ratio is more preferable over the straighten lines, though!
Hi all, I am in the middle of a project creating an Arri Alexa Mini 3D model. I have shaped out some basic shapes and some supporting lines. But I am not too sure on how I would approach the extrusion inside the camera towards the sensor. Below is the image and annotation of the shape I am trying to imitate: At first I…
