Does 3d studio max have a feature like
move and sew in Maya?
I basically want to select all the individual unitized faces, click a single button and then have them all stitch perfectly together automatically.
Like this image for example:

This is where I'm at in 3d studio max currently. I've figured out how to unitize, but now I have no idea how to
move and sew.

A bit of fiddling with the settings and you can get quite close to the way maya behaves.
I prefer max for unwrapping and maya for laying the unwrapped pieces out - they both have their strengths.
There's better ways to unwrap a pipe in max though
