Hey guys! It's my first time here on Polycount -- I've heard a lot of good things about here from a friend of mine. He actually even recommended me to post my project here to get some feedback. For the records, I'm currently studying in 3D animation at C

You can try out Maya PLE (Personal Learning Edition) or GMAX. They are free versions of Maya and 3D Studio Max. I'm at work and polycount seems to be the only website I can get to but do a google search for those programs and you'll find them.
Hello polycount, I've created this model in order to improve my texturing. I've been told I need to improve the textures of my assets. In this asset I try to include more bespoke weathering to indicate how it was used, and include some small details to add storytelling elements. It would be nice if some one of you could…
Hi everyone! Lots of inspiring brick walls here! It's my first time posting here on polycount; I'm new to Substance, and to 3D in general but I'm taking the plunge this year. Here's my effort: Learned loads through this exercise, can't wait for the next challenge. Crits welcome!
I agree with Matabus. I thought the point of a 3D contest was to prove you've got what it takes to win. That and personal experiance. Polycount comps don't usually front high-end prizes, yet people enter (most don't finish and I'm guilty in that department too). -caseyjones
Hey polycount! I am a 3d artist in mobile game industry, stuck in one circle without professional growth. And rightnow I have some problems with getting a new job, a lot of positions applied and 0 replies :( Aaaaand the question is what is wrong with my portfolio? http://ffdspline.artstation.com/
I was wondering whether any other polycounters have pets? I have a bunch and they are annoying but fun in equal measures, nothing quite like a long night of 3d with a living footwarmer! here's my puppies running about in the snow the other day: anyone else have fun pets?
Hello, there. I'm new to polycount and have a little experience in 3D programs such as maya and zbrush. I was wondering if anyone could help give feedback on my base mesh I did in maya. There is a regular version and a smoothed version. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello polycount, this is some portfolio work I did for a 3d 1 class with TAD- The Art Department this spring semester. Instructor is Brett Briley and I recommend his class to anyone. Learned a lot and really pushed me as an artist to improve quickly. Feedback and critiques are welcome. Thanks.
