UPDATE ( 3/13/06 ) Worked mostly on my Unreal Level today, but also got a bunch of Neza stuff done too. That's right kids... no life. * Unwrapped the body. * Positioned the legs in his idle pose. Mirrored them over. Next step is texturing! Yaayyyyy! ^^
Hey everyone! Next to an Arstation Learning Course, I published this free PDF Guide that covers a lot of topics regarding teaching yourself 3D. I hope this will provide you with some ideas and insights to apply to your own journey. I wish you the best of luck! Get it here: artstn.co/m/W2GJ

A little project I did for Halloween. It started off as a speed sculpt over the weekend but I ended up taking it a little further. Even made a simple idle animation! First time doing a project in marmoset and had lots of fun using it. Thanks for looking and enjoy! https://www.instagram.com/tezzerbell/…
Greetings everyone, I'm interested in getting back into animation after taking a long break to learn rigging. My goal is to gather some pieces that would be demoreel worthy (walk, run, idle, etc..). Still kinda learning the ropes, so any feedback is greatly appreciated! http://vimeo.com/221216968…
I created this tutorial for my students who kept asking how I went about doing this, so here it is in .jpg format. You can get a .pdf version on my website along with other tutorials at http://www.machinemeditation.com Please let me know if you notice any issues or have any questions.
It bugs me (just a little) when people say they don't like to animate with biped because you can't scale limbs. So...I made a tutorial that teaches you to create Custom Attributes and Wire them to a Biped. The tutorial download contains a short Step by Step PDF file and a sample Max file with animation. Download Here.
Just finished up on this little personal project. He's 4.3k tri's and uses a 2048x2048 dif, spec, normal and gloss map. Little high specs, but i wanted to get the most from my bakes. Modelling in maya 2012 and zbrush, textures in photoshop, rendered from marmoset toolbag. Wires and maps Highpoly headsculpt: Cheers for…
hmm... Idk I was using a soft brush the whole time. So I just started throwing color around to see how it would look as a whole. Do you recommend a different approach? (I'm still getting used to HP Textures so all tips and tricks are welcome )
Get this book: http://www.theanimatorssurvivalkit.com/ It's got all the fundamentals and great techniques that transition between 2D & 3D. I've definitely heard it be referenced as "The Animation Bible", so it's worth checking out. You can also find a PDF copy of it through Google if you're tight on cash flow! ;D
