I have here with me a more or less complete trebuchet model, but I'm not sure of the optimal method of rigging it. I want the ropes in the bottom left to move as realistically as possible during launch. The central beam, axles, and counterweight are all linked without any MassFX modifiers The ropes and sling have an mCloth…
I'm working on a project with some friends, which should be the first public title for our team. The game was first planned to be a retro platformer, but the design slowly skewed into a bigger and bigger project. We've come to the conclusion this will be our debut title as a game studio. Naturally with this new big goal,…
This project has helped me improve my texturing process. I haven’t had all the time in the world or at least not as much as I would have liked, but I hope you like it. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/AZ1KBz
Hi again, STINKFOOT- I wish Disney would just make them, right? but I might make the printable files available later on. Stay tuned! BRINGMEASUNKIST- Thanks! I think Jean's blue stripe on the suit is thinner in the comics and thicker in the toons precisely because of the thong effect I guess... didn't realize it, might be…
Sure! ive actually recently started to record my process for "the beast" challenge. its just timelapses with some notes here and there, but it might help getting an idea on how it can be used. I think its power is best used combined with all the other zbrush tools. look at it this way, its really not fair comparing a…
Is it possible to blend textures together as you would in a world editor or game engine, in Maya's viewport? I was only able to find tutorials doing this at render time, but I want to be able to have this effect in real time. If anyone knows, or could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, thanks!
the braids on the side of here head. I dont know if I should model them in or just sculpt them in and use a normal. Im trying to opt for the lowest polycount option sense im going for a model that could be used for a game. Ive tryed modeling them in but the result was an ugly one. Any suggestions?
Hello! Im trying to animate and simulate a character trench, but I need some cartoony simulation, like not too realistic. I tried with ncloth but I cant get Something NOT too realistic. Any advices? Thanks!!
Ok tried a few methods, which actually work out ok... a lot better than placing by hand anyway. The FloorGen script makes quick work of floor tiles/slabs, but unfrotunately it doesn't work on curves shapes, either horizontally or vertically. I can use the bend modifier, which works really well but doesn't give much…
so ever since discovering Vitaly Bulgarov I personally feel like my models have improved, I feel his work is amazing and I find Inspiration from his stuff. that being said. Can you list or name off some 3D artist preferably hard surface or environment that you feel are the top of the field. I want to expand my depth…
