yep, the 4 corners. not sure what you mean by "the smaller ones", if you mean the smaller details then yes and no. If it were me I would keep everything a bit wavy and curvy so that nothing looks to straight in the final peice. Its a learning experience for everyone, im sure someone more qualified could give you better…
Hey all! I’m putting together ideas for a short animated project about Louis Riel, focusing on his ride through the battlefield at Batoche. It’s meant to be a stylized, intense piece that highlights his bravery and faith (kind of like a historical drama, but with a lot of atmospheric lighting and contrast—thinking…
You could definitely improve the texture resolution by not using an "atlas" layout, but instead using tiled textures, and mixing damage with vertex color. We have some info on this in the wiki. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/MultiTexture and if you check my Sketchbook, I share some shader graphs for making these kinds of…
The guys at work are heavy into mugen, and i've been kind of day dreaming of a dominance war smash bros. like a polycount junkie that anyone can drop 3D normal mapped characters and levels into like a 3d mugen...Anything like this?
3d coat is an awesome tool, a lot of great tools that make live easier. Its my main application for painting textures & sculpting. Although I have to admit it has some features that frive me nuts. E.g.: gizmos are just a pain, working on a grid seems to me somewhat impossible, managing different splines is not comfortable,…
Strangely I feel sorry for him, just because he has more money then he can spend does not mean he is not allowed to feel lonely. Its like letting the fact that he has money define him as a person. I was him I would take some time out, Spend some time with family, get a life coach (Tony Robbins), fitness coach, Dance coach…
I have this model im making in 3DS Max (2008) and im first making a high poly model, then baking it into a low poly model for live rendering (Crysis). Its a hard surface model (space ship) and I decided to draw in the panel lines and rivits using normal bump (height) mapping. It looks great, but wont render into normal…
I am making a wedding card and am caricaturing our group of friends using photoshop. At the moment I am drawing each of my friends on separate transparent layers using a 3pixel brush at 80% opacity (the document is 10000x10000). Basically I am making clear line drawings and no soft strokes/sketches and was wondering how I…
I know that there's a lot of talking about GDC right now, but this made me wonder. Is there anything like GDC happening in europe? I know that there are gaming events like Gamescom happening but that's more promotion oriented, rather than development. There's also Gamayo in UK but that's more of niche, small indie oriented…
Biped has its own trajectories toggle. It's in the biped menu under, Modes and Display > Display > 2nd to the last icon, looks like a squiggly line. What he is talking about in that post was turning on trajectories for the dummy helpers that act as terminators at the end of the links. The biped trajectories toggle works…
