GDC like event in Europe

I know that there's a lot of talking about GDC right now, but this made me wonder. Is there anything like GDC happening in europe? I know that there are gaming events like Gamescom happening but that's more promotion oriented, rather than development. There's also Gamayo in UK but that's more of niche, small indie oriented event as far as i know.

Does anyone have any ideas?

devcom (ex-GDC europe) is in august, cologne. and you just missed another one in berlin last week, plus the unreal gathering.
