How do you create stone textures..
I was just thinking about How do you create textures for stuff like these. Do you hand-paint them using softwares like photoshop or first sculpt them in zbrush then bake different textures and paint over in photoshop? -

Nice one What scale is this stone meant to be? it's a little hard to tell, I'm guessing it's supposed to be quite large?. The end result looks great, even if you wouldn't use the 2k map in a game a few variations of this quality used creatively would look good, using tile-able textures on low res meshes can only get you so… -

Is there a standard workflow for using anti/aliasing when baking masks?
I'm trying to make a material which has a number of stones inlaid into a floor. I'm doing a diffuse bake to get different color values of all the components involved, and I'm keying the RGB values of these colors so as to create three masks. One of the channel masks is white for stone, black for floor. Another mask… -
