Let me ask you this then, why try half baked elements? I don't care of the kids, especially when their lines are "I'll be there for you", cheesy is fine, but over the top cliched which is a dead end? C'mon now. Why included ANY humans on this level? Include them as civilians, just don't make them the main theme here. And…
Didnt read through everyones posts so I may be repeating: The thing I hate is that your images are not clickable. I would like to be able to hover over, click, and get a nice full size image. With your site I have to right-click view image, and then when I click back, it restarts the flash animation to frame one, so I have…
So I've been playing around with the suite that I bought during the black friday special, and it's pretty cool. Although... It feels like NDO should be able to allow me to create materials for DDO, but it doesn't. Actually, other than creating normal maps (for which it's very good), everything else it does is subpar or…
I haven't posted here in a long time and I'm not entirely sure this is the right place to be doing this, but I'd like to get some perspectives from others in the game industry. Hello. My name is Zack Reese, the co-leader and co-founder of Oblivion Inc., and I am working on a Half-Life 2 modification. It is a single player (soon to be sin/mult) sci-fi hacknslash/gunplay game called "The Masamune Project." Here is a description of this one-of-a-kind mod: The Masamune Project takes place in the…
Hello! I started learning Plasticity recently and wanted to share some of my thoughts about the software. Maybe this will be interesting for people like me, who have a poly-modeling background and consider giving CAD a go. First of all I was pleasantly surprised how "artist" friendly Plasticity is. The interface is very…
@battlecow That comes out to about $60 per hour, which is stupidly high for a beginning freelancer. From my previous research on the topic, what seems like a pretty standard rate is $30 per hour, which imo is quite good if you have regular work. Of course everything is variable depending on your cost of living.
