If it's Linux then Blender might be able to run on it. According to Autodesk Maya will run on Linux as well. Interesting, I just did a search looks like Google has been pushing for Photoshop on Linux for a while now. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13580_3-9874297-39.html So there you go.
I'm using a rigged character from Autodesk's Character Generator as an actor in Unreal Matinee. I converted it to a SkeletalMeshCinematicActor so its animations can be triggered by an event in-game. The problem is, when I build the lighting, there are these patchy blotches of light and shadow across the model. Does anyone…
Hi, I'm thinking about diving into CryEngine but I'm not much into Autodesk software and with recent debut of Houdini Engine API (and my small experience with Houdini HDK development) I was thinking about writing my own extension for CryEngine. Anyone have any experience/info that he would like to share on this topic?…
Hey there, I'm hoping someone on this forum has experimented with the Brekel Kinect Hack. I'm trying to get a skeleton out of 3DStudo Max to be controlled by the Kinect Rig I have currently following my movements in Autodesk Motionbuilder. I try to use Maya to bake some difficult normal maps. Autodesk dosen't change bake tool since I stat use maya 8.1. Maya have a problem with raytracing. So I recoomend to try 3ds Max or Xnormal. These tools give the best and predictable result.
