Yeah Samsung seems a wise choice, I've had two of their HDTVs and three monitors and they're awesome. I can't add much but I will offer a couple bits of advice, firstly, whilst anyone who has bought a TV with 3D may argue this point, I wouldn't pay extra for 3D because in my opinion it's a dying fad which is either going…
Yep, that noise is as good as you'll get it. Reason why in thread linked above. Move on with your life =P I would be more concerned with the artifacts you're getting around those thing edges. Soften/enlarge the bevels on your highpoly and those edges should bake out a lot better.
I feel like your lawn chair needs some major love. I personally havent seen any with the design you have, but even so I feel like something like this would be way more interesting I agreed with the desaturation comment but I think all of your wood needs to be "sapped of life" a bit more. Your window planks especially need…
I just clicked on the link and didn't read the rest of the posts. But the first thing that jumped out was the lighting. Look at well lit tv shows too like 24, CSI, movies too. Don't avoid saturation like you are doing now. Take a screenshot in Photoshop and check your levels. Notice the flat line area on the right side of…

Thanks Eric. I've got a new monitor now and it's working fine again. Ran it like usual and it worked. No idea what happened. I guess DDO was having a bad month/ on holiday. Glad it's back. Cheers for the help though!
Don't know if there's a way to slide things to match an axis if you have an off angle edge? For example, I want to align this loop on a sloping section to the y-axis of the perpendicular box, however it snaps a few units off. Am using the following snap controls This is for a project where I'm taking old BSP level geometry…
Hello
everyone, me and a couple of people have been working on a game for a
while. We are a state where the code is getting good, the concepts
and mechanics are also doing great, but we have a
huge lack in 3D models and animation. The biggest one
is with the characters. We have that sweet concept art, but no
one to work…
