I assume this long triangle shading gradient isn't in hi poly mesh . But it could be if its sub-div model . Most probably although it's low poly model . Easy fix would be just fixing vertex normals/ split normals or whatever they are called in your software. Here I fixed the gradients by just putting Weighted normals…
hey guys, i want in my szene, set up in the newest Cryengine versiom, some particle effects and i hope you can help me on that. what iam looking for is sth like dust or sand effects who flow with a low speed through the air to have a bit atmospheric feeling. something like on the follow picture is my goal. because i want…
I only saw the one 3d model but I agree with @sacboi, it looks fine and is presented well. Probably just a few more pieces like that and you could be competitive for jobs. Maybe you'd want some stuff that is more complex but that is just applying your skills to bigger scale is all. I've never seen any tutorials that really…
imagine you are making a flat sheet of white plastic, but its covered in a layer of fine dust. would the dust affect the roughness or the metalic? firstly, its a pain in the ass so Im sure game designer people wouldnt mind me skipping it. but I was thinking that the dust would affect the surface's reflection of light a…
I would really love to have a brick cobble road that bends non-uniformly like in the picture below Obviously, the way uv interpolation works means that I can't just straighten out this bend to use with a tiling texture without having artifacts like above. It's also probably not very realistic due to how the bricks would…
I have the feeling that I'm modelling interior rooms not the best possible way. Most times I have problems selecting all the faces to assign my mat-ids through the walls. Modelling proper floors and ceilings and to connect the vertices to my outer walls is sometimes a pain. Is there a good way to model rooms in a modular…
Hi all - I'm very new as a 3d sculptor and even newer to getting nice renders. I've just purchased Marmoset. I'm a freelancer for board games so generally I don't need texturing or color even - I just need to show off my models with a better render than zBrush can provide. I've attached an example of the type of render I…
So I've been tasked with putting together the credits for the game I've been working on. (not making the list, just figuring out how it's going to be displayed - can't do it in the normal end-of-game scrolling fashion.) The problem is I have no idea what my title should be. Officially I'm employed as a "graphic artist"…
