Those two aren't bad... it would definitely be cheaper than dropping ~$500 on a desk. I don't know, with my tax returns coming in soon, it's something to think about. And yeah, that closet desk... not okay, lol. I would lose my mind! Nice improvisation though.
This is a good deal as well http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/subscription/ $500 a year, $40 a month. A normal gnomon or tutorial dvd is around $20-$60 (I'd argue gnomon has some of the better instructors and content) so if you use at least 2 videos a month, its an awesome deal.
I think it looks like a great start man ;) You could probably get away with a little moore polys. Its good to aim low, but i really think you could get away with around 500 to 1k if you are working in an engine like UDK or Cryengine.
How about a Toyota AE86 in 500 tris or under? I'll gladly accept the winning car as a donation to use in a game ;) To make things more challenging, drop the poly count even further. Make say, a car, or boxer, or shark with 250 polygons, as opposed to the 700 in other challenges.
I wouldn't feel very comfortable driving that much money all day. I'll just take the new ford mustang shelby gt 500 then Honestly, I don't think I would spend more than 80'000$ on a car ever, even if I had the possibility
Finally I've finished the low poly.I've just started to unwrap but Max just gave an error and I tought I should post this update. It's around 340k tris,so it's really well under my target but I think it looks good.I've posted some pics but I've updated the model on sketchfab too. I will resume unwraping but there are around…
Hey all, so i recently did a small test of taking an mp5 i modeled and aiming for a 500 vert goal. I can up with this at 900. He said that i still have too many edges, can anyone help enlighten me how you can get so low without sacrificing the overall shape
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6471310?GT1=5870 I guess evidence does not mean crap anymore in America. Not enough evidence existed to convict him. Nothing like an emotional jury to decide your fate. Nothing like people deciding how they FEEL than how they think and reviewing real evidence. This focker is an appeal waiting to…
So finally i decided to work on a character project with more than my usual 500 polys projects, and i started on this black panther character by marvel. This is where i'm at: Crits and comments are most welcome, because i still don't really know how i can make some proper shoulder geometry. Thanks!
This is another assignment done for class, was wondering what kind of pointers you had for me. Assignment was to model this object from the "Mass Effect" series, as well as create a diffuse, spec, ambient occlusion and normal map for it. Poly limit for the low poly model was 500, and I think mine got to around 350-400.…
