So finally i decided to work on a character project with more than my usual 500 polys projects, and i started on this black panther character by marvel.
This is where i'm at:
Crits and comments are most welcome, because i still don't really know how i can make some proper shoulder geometry.
Thanks!

hmm, i thought marvel characters was forbidden to create?

Yeah what he said.
Good start so far, though. Nice silhouette. Still a bit early to really comment, but if you want me to really grasp for straws.. perhaps a bit more loops around the joints for easier deformation?
well thanks anyway for pointing it out!
Well at least that's my suggestion. But I'm also in anarchy overdrive mode at the moment :P
Besides. You're Dutch. What can they do? Take your drugs away? (That was a joke. For the most part.)
thanks guys, i mailed the guy from the website i got it from and hopefully he/she tells me everything is ok and i don't need to worry about beeing spammed until my internet doesn't work properly anymore :P (kidding)
i moved the verts so that he's in a t pose just to check if there is enough geometry there, and there wasn't so i added some, then moved it back so that i can still use the reference.
btw: i decided to just keep working on it :P
update:
added some ass and feet :P
About two years ago I was creating some characters like this for a Quake3 mod when Marvel contacted us with the following:

Should be ok if you display it on your portfolio, but I wouldn't submit it anywhere to be used in a game. They ignore any emails you send back explaining it's only fan art, and no profit is being made.
@ElysiumGX: i don't even know how to put in a game engine so that won't be a problem. thanks anyway :P
i've been working on the head, redid it twice and this is what i've come up with so far:
In fact, if it were me I would specifically avoid the model sheet. Many comic artists have an annoying habit of giving everyone the exact same anatomy. That's neither here nor there though, there's nothing wrong with making the character accurate to his sheet, though specifically not rotoscoping may help you deviate from the grid-like meshflow.
@Suprore: exactly what i was thinking! :P
@8FtSpider: thanks! i found lots of those references already, but still it's nice to see you would choose the same costume design i wanted to choose :P really i saw them all on line and i wanted to do this one (Y)
@per128: haha jep :P (well actually not because he is married to storm.. but whatever)
hands took me quite a while... made them seperately with good reference so that i can use them for other projects as well.
crits definetely welcome!
actually, i dont think its tights. its probably bodypaint..

Protip: it can stop Wolverine's claws, too.
i started on the texture, just two colors for the body for now, still very wip what do you guys think?
otherwise its looking pretty good.
I posted to thank you for the blueprints links
I did a quick paintover to show what I mean, but it could be taken a lot further than what I did. This is still pretty low contrast, and all:
thanks again!
the back is worst i believe, so when i work on it again that will be my main focus.
thanks in advance!
Anyway, everything looks to line up about right except the back. Grab some ref images of people, not just muscle charts, with really well defined musculature on their backs. Should help out a lot.
Good luck!
