Very straightforward issue: import a plane with 4 faces, tessellate in the shader, then vertex paint. Despite tessellating to thousands of polys, vertex paint only respects the *original* vertex count? Stated differently: You cannot paint on tessellated vertices, only base mesh vertices(?)
Hi there, My name is Vojtěch Severa and I'm a freelance CG artist from Czech Republic. I started with CG as a self-taught artist around year 2009 (Blender 2.49). Ever since, my primary focus has been 3D graphics, although I'm equally adept at creating 2D designs. My work experience includes asset creation for architectural…
Hi @Eric Chadwick Thank you for your feedback. Yes the interior projection has a slight offset as my spacing of each room doesn't quite come to an even square so i had to offset it slightly to a more rectangular shape and maybe that is causing some slight distortion in the parallax effect based on the viewing angle. In…
This is a work in progress and I thought I would post it as my first submission. Working on my stylized texture painting! And yes, the wagon design is from WoW. I have yet to use any programs where I can paint away the seams, so as of now Im just using tedious techniques in photoshop to attempt to minimize the noticeable…
Actually that's a good point. 3d printed body parts are just starting to take off and are going to be an enormous industry, particularly once they start being able to reliable print organs and other meaty bits. There's plenty going on with 3d medical imaging too. If you're interested in both medicine and CG, that might be…
Hi all. I'm currently working on texturing my scene for a University Project, this is my first time using hand painted textures and I'm stuck painting the stone slabs on the upper floors. I've tried painting one of the stones, but it's not coming out stylised enough. I'm struggling being able to break up the single colour…
Hey guys, My dream is to create my own game with impressing environment which uses stylized/hand painted textures, cool animations and camera movement and a complex combat system. So I asked myself where should I start and I think the best is to learn modeling/sculpting and texturing first and later I can learn animation…
Hey guys so ive always struggled when it comes to taking a grayscale painting to colour. I find painting straight to colour or just working with value with much more comfort. When I do try and take a grayscale painting to colour the result always leaves me with a muddy look. Here I am attempting to fix this problem by…
Pretty much finished at this point. Last thing I need to do is make a proper livery (probably going to make a Honjo Taxi), and then I have to make a nice scene to render it in that isn't a grey blob.
