Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some critiques or overall thoughts on this scene that I have been working on. The concept is from Tuomas Korpi and the scene is built in UDK. Thanks,
This was based on the movie Castle in the Sky By: Ghibli Studio. I still have to add some grass blades, trees, rocks.. But so far this is what i have. I can probably push the lighting further but im still learning UDK.
Hey, so in UDK you can toggle through the transform gizmos by using spacebar. I was wondering if you could make this a hotkey in max. Cause it gets really annoying when i switch back and forth between them! thanks!
Hey guys I wonder How to keep my Spec and Normal when baking the lighting with light mass in UDK... When i Bake everything my Spec ans Normals becomes not dynamic anymore or seam to disapear in the editor. is it possible to keep them even with lightmap baked? tanks
Popping up a Tessellation project that I was doing in UDK.. What do you folks think?? The displacement map for it is soo temperamental! Alter one light/dark value and it blows up :/ [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZwhhxD5ERk"]DirectX 11 Tessellation in the Unreal Engine - YouTube[/ame]

Hey everybody! So, I've decided to go from working on characters (specifically cartoony ones which I've been doing for years) and other random stuff to moving into environments. I've got the bug and found myself thinking about them all the time. I have no experience of creating environments in a game engine. I am also…
Latest Progress: I'm currently working on my first environment in UDK. I wanted to do foliage and use World Machine with the Landscape system. Any c&c is welcome! I'm roughly following this overpaint: Ma ref sheet: This is my current progress: Currently I'm working on the last piece of blockout: The stone walls.
Hi everyone, i want to use my 4096*4096 heightmap i created in mudbox inside UDK but i don't know how to get it done without either using world machine (which limits me to 512*512) or HMCS (only accepts 512*512 too) is there any other way to do it?
