Nice paint over, thanks for that :) I've decided to take the middleground; I want it to stay a bit cartoony, not 100% warcraft painted style. Still working on the wood / rope textures. Any crits are welcome :) After the texture is done I'll probably be making a small scene around it for presentation, something like a swamp…
yep, bad idea The warcraft system of Horde and Alliance having a different language ( but still being able to gesticulate at each other ) but of course that language is actually English on both sides is simple but works a treat. I don't think we need to make mmorpgs even more of a life/time sucker now do we?
[ QUOTE ] Realistic games are always the highest-selling titles. [/ QUOTE ] I think that would be an interesting topic for debate. World of Warcraft, any Mario title, the last Zelda game all spring to mind. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the ratio of realistic::cartoony best selling titles is comparable to the ratio…
I'm not going to see this as a sign of the times. Just out with the bad, in with the new. It seems the company hasn't made a single game themselves since the late 90's. Did they sit around for 13 years smoking weed and playing World of Warcraft? If there is a future for Duke Nukem...give it to a studio that can actually…
What I meant is the beauty shot would look much better if he had his shield on. As for the feet even if it is stylized or "fantasy" you need the balance, take ffVII. Cloud's proportions are still in tact, or World of warcraft's orcs- big shoulders and hands balances with big feet. I hope you get my point.
I might give it a shot, I was vaguely tempted by World of Warcraft, but I've been a Warhammer fan for years, so I'll see if I can at least last the out-of-the-box month :) I'm loath to pay a monthly fee for any game though, it'll have to be bloody addictive or else I won't keep playing :(
Hi everyone! I have created some World of Warcraft: Warlords of Dreanor fan art. Looking for feedback on how I can improve it! I have also animated the shield, I've included a link to a video of that, would be interested to hear some feedback on that as well. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSL1vUIRbXU Sketchfab…
Inspired by Blizzards Warcraft 3 and Gears of War I modeled Prince Arthas as I imagine he would appear if the new WoW expansion pack was going to use the UE3 engine. I used Softimage XSI to create the low poly mesh, Mudbox to create the high poly mesh, and Photoshop for the textures. Polycount is sitting at 7994. Beauty…
For my final school project I am creating a stylized environment inside the UDK. Right now I am still busy modeling and blocking out/placing the geometry. Main inspirations and references are taken from the Worgen environment from World of Warcraft and classic Disney movies. Latest: Older work in progress shots: Crits and…
Do artists typically use scanned materials and/or photo-sourced texture libraries in the industry? Is this the case for both PBR and non-pbr workflows? Thank you. Handpainted - such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends PBR - such as Remember Me, Metal Gear Solid 5, Killzone: Shadows Fall Photosourced - textures used…
