I'd suggest to use ZBrush's "Decimation Master" tool to reduce the polycount of your final sculpt if 3ds Max, Maya or Blender can't handle it in their viewports while retopologizing.
Armanguy: We used to have "3d fightclubs" on Polycount where a few people talked on IRC, chose a time and a subject and whoever produced the better model in the time won.
Hi there! These are some sculpts I made as a part of my weekend homework(I'm learning 3D Art from one Polycounter in Spain). Tips and advices will be welcomed. Thanks!
Mezz, I like you more and more every day girl, thanks for the laugh! :D Oh yes, and welcome to PolyCount! The most awesomest place to be for 3D ;) -DK >^..^<
welcome to the Polycount, here you will find the tips and crits needed for your 3d work your work flow. Looking forward to see your stuff. Good luck. :)
Welcome to Polycount. This section is for advice about your career, and how to get there. Portfolio critique belongs in 3D Art Showcase and Critiques. Please create a separate Topic there, for that. Thanks.
Hello again polycounters! i have some troubles with Qt Designer and 3ds Max about the icons. In Qt Designer i got load the icon(in editor and preview modes): Here the parameters: But in 3ds max no: the icon is into subfolder (UI/icons/folder-icon.png) I tried to save the icon into 3ds max folder "usericons". any ideas? :'(
hi there! good to see theres really good stuff in here, both 2d & 3d... seriously by looking the posts I am surprised by the talent of many polycounters, I am sort of new to polycount, but I'll try to post some of my wip's as well... hope you like them ;)
I've been to a dozen 3d artist communities and Polycount is the only one that has me coming back. I know I don't fully appreciate all the work that goes into keeping this community rolling, but it sure as hell doesn't go unnoticed! Hell, even the Polycount twitter manages to be awesome.
Junior artists are expected to make stuff that senior artists can make at a pace that is understandably slower. Also, you've already said you've been at this 3D thing for 1+ years, with no art posted to here on Polycount. You're not gonna get anything from Polycount if you don't post art.
