3d max 9 - cloth sim problem
Hi folks, Im having a few issues running the cloth simulation in 3d studio max 9. The problem Im having is that when I run the simulation after a while the simulation stops. I am unable to press the simulation button to restart the process and the only walk around is to truncate simulation and then start the simulation… -

Possible to edit uvs of multiple objects in Max 9?
I have a file that contains 20 trim pieces. I need to edit the uvs of all 20 pieces and move a row of the uvs down a few units. In later versions of max, this would be really simple, however Max 9 seems to be only be able to edit the uvs of a single object at a time. The trim pieces are linked to havok geo, and are named… -

Why can't I select verts in Edit UVW window (3DS Max 9)?
Sometimes I can't select vertices in the 3DS Max 9 Edit UVW window. I choose the Vertex option under the Unwrap UVW modifier but it won't let me select some of the verts (I can select the majority, just not some). you can use mentalray for render to texture, but i use it to render scenes. like i said game art is only part of what i do with max, i have been making more music videos latley so game specific enhancements are not as important to me as they use to be. i would take stability and speed over new features anyday and max 9… -

Max 9 and File Sizes Memory
I guess I should have done more research before jumping. I just remembered how everyone was raving about it being faster. Here the thing, my file sizes have jumped from 25mb to 90, to now even 160!!! without me adding anything to the scence other than a null dummy and further refining weights and hiding different portions… -
