My first try at the asset store has been released, It's a modular dungeon to make classic Dungeon Crawlers. https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/39399 A glimpse of my new package, a medieval dungeon:
Hey everyone! Working on a modular weathered brick building for my 3D class. First time in UE4 but here is my blockout so far along with a basic texture for color choices. Let me know what you think! Some reference: In Engine:
Hi im new here and fairly new to udk and have a few questions about modularity. Im gonna start modeling houses and apartments and was wondering if it would be better to model the rooms in one piece and then put them together in udk or model just a few floor and wall pieces and tile them together. As far as polycount goes…
when I was making the lowpoly for the tracks for the tank im making by using a rectangular spline . However, I noticed that the polys making up the tracks are uneven. This would pose a problem for an animator as well as modular highpoly modeling. Is there a way to get the edge loops in the track to be spaced evenly? o
Hi! I'm preparing a modular assets and level made with them in UE4. After baking I'm having such issues with baked light on the edges. Is it a matter of baking settings, UV or smoothing group?
Hello again Polycount! Building a modular scene in UDK and I got a lot of block-ins so far with some basic textures to get a feel of the "look" (all subject to change). There are missing pieces to this and the skydome needs some work, but until I post again, hope you enjoy!
I think I finally have a good grasp of modular building. I pulled my hair out a lot but well worth it. There isn't much done yet, and if you don't feel like commenting on it, just wait and I will get some more done tonight.
So this is my first project on polycount and I'm hoping it will go well. My environment is a tile based modular dungeon based off games like the original Elderscrolls. Well here are the screenshots, be aware that it looks crappy because I just imported it into UDK and haven't touched lighting and basic plugin material.…
Hi Polycount, I was wondering if one of you could please recommend any good Environment Art tutorials that focus on modular workflows, please? (for someone who has less than a year of 3D experience) Thanks, Mike
