It appears to only affect the painted on material. the main material ends up being fine. any help'll be nice thanks! this is my setup
Hi! Haven't been on the forums in a while. Good to be back! I'm looking for some good hand painting texture tutorials. I remember there being a thread that listed a whole bunch of tutorials including hand painting ones, but I can't seem to find it after a good amount of searching. Am I just blind? Where did it go? Any…
Latest Update: I just signed up with 3d Motive, and I want to give the Hand Painted Texture Tutorials a Try. Painting in Photoshop is really lacking for me right now. This is even the first time I've really even concepted something from scratch before too. So here is my design. I will model it out now, then play with color…

General shoutout here to anyone who might know of a standalone vertex painter. I've seen a lot of third party UV unwrap packages and I'm wondering if there's something out there similar but just is a vertex painting app? I've been trying tirelessly trying to get some decent material blending in the old idtech 4 (DooM3)…
So I've been taking a landscape painting class almost every Saturday morning since last November. It's on location around LA for 5 hours. These are all water based oils (huh?).I keep forgetting to post these here. But here are some of the most recent ones (painting on left, sketch in middle, and pic on the right);…
