UPDATE OVERVIEW TIL JAN-22-2014: Hi there! This year I want to focus a bit more on my sculpting skills, I get the shapes correct mostly but aint that fast or detailed yet. So being a fan of the boardgame legacy: testament of duke the grecy. I thought doing busts for all the player characters to then 3d print and use a…
What I will do is that I will model the silhouette of the bristles(one simple shape mesh that matches the shape of the bristle) and then import it into the ZBrush to sculpt the detail of bristle. And then bakes the high poly model onto the low poly the model in substance painter. After that, I will add the cards of the…
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated. I'm getting the sense that the throne and base seem small/insignificant, as well. I'll start addressing that, tonight. I'm not sure if it is to be a tree trunk, or a stone outcropping. It was originally supposed to be stone. And I had envisioned stairs spiraling around, from the…
JasonLavoie: Thanks, that means alot to me coming from you. natetheartist: Yeah, the tree is one of the best piece in that map, I formatted recently so was unable to take screenshots of my sculpts and work pipeline for this object, until I get a hand on my Zbrush again to install it back. bugo: Good ideas, i'll be making…
I had last night sculpted 2 rocks and sort of prepared a quick placeholder mockup of the scene.. but my scale was off in some places, and I didn't like how the scene was not looking good if I moved the camera. So after taking a good night sleep, I decided to do it properly, and setup scale first for the foreground…
Hello I got into zscripting not too long ago but I thin it's pretty cool because I always find stuff in Zbrush that I despise doing over and over again. As example extracting mask without thickness and a good edge that doesn't look all messed up. Why can't we bake all layers on all subtools with just one simple click in a…
Hi all ! I'm making some new stuff for my real-time portfolio and I had the idea to realize "dioramas" (like Warhammer Golden Daemon scenes, ...) to constrain my work in a precise space and give it a pretty cool look :) There are some WIP images, followed by the final result. 01: The Plint and early test of normal mapping,…
I've always used Blender since the day one I started 3D, and it's easy to install in a studio environment, because it can be run as a portable application and there's no license issues since it's free. BUT, I'm at least keeping Maya and Max close in order to import my character models to them and set them up for riggers.…
Well, you're plugging a texture of a relatively flat floor, no wonder that's what Crazybump is spitting out. You could try a couple of different things before sculpting anything such as trying a different texture (duh) or trying nDo2 (much better results than Crazybump, IMHO). Or you could try actually sculpting it, here…
