How was this building put together? Is it modular? I'm having a hard time getting my head around UVmapping large buildings like these. How have you gotten it so each window section is using the same part of the texture map? I'm interested ;)

I make one hair clump usually long ,uvmap it,texture it with alpha and then start duplicating it,resizing and moving it around the head with the lattice deformer,u may have to adjust the shape by moving individual vertices around.Repeat till u have a head full of hair.
Thanks alot d00kie no ones ever said that before about my work :D just about finished lowpoly now its on to uvmapping and textures shes quite low poly only around 6500tris at the moment. any suggestions on where to add some geometry?
I don't want to sound like a douche or derail this thread - but that example of hand-packed UVs truly is horrible! I wouldn't want to work with that and would ask the person in charge of UVmapping that model to redo it (and edit the geometry in some parts to make for better UVs), honestly...

yes, silo is a very nice tool (in Silo2 we will be able to paint displacement like in zbrush and rendering out normalmaps ) ...and the girls still like Silouser here is my next update (model is final) i will wate for the Silo2 Beta for UVmapping and modeling an hiresmodel (for normalmapping)
Hi, I recently worked on a model in mudbox,and half way in i exported the model as .obj to Topogun and made a lowpoly model of it. i later imported that lowpoly model and started again and made a new model. The thing is that i dont have any uv left, what is the easiest way to uvmap i highpoly model in mudbox ?
Hey guys!! Im learning how to UVMap and create displacement and normal maps from a ZBrush sculpt. My teacher has kind of done things a bit confusing though. For the displacement map he created a map like this: How do I fill the space with a texture past 1? Or is that impossible?
