-Personal Project-I'm very excited to share my latest project – an environment inspired by regions of Southeast Asia. This project came with many challenges, and everything you see was created entirely by me from scratch, without using any pre-made assets… yes, that means no Megascans assets were used! The project took 17…
I gotta question about the program I saw a while before and I forgot the name of it. It's basicaly a program where you set and organize lika a reference sheet on your desktop. I can't remember the name of it. If any of you know the name of the program, or if there are any similar programs like the one I described, I would…
just curious how larger studios organize and work on their bigger games? Let’s say a game has a lot of different levels etc., - are there Maya project files just for assets pertaining to that level? Ive seen some people/studios do it where there’s a Maya project file for every single asset made. Wouldn’t it be easier to…

Does anyone have any tips for how to go about straightening organic UVs so they're easier to paint on in a 2D program? I've attached an example of hands and arms that have had the fingers straightened out. I can't seem to reproduce this myself in Maya. My character's hands fingers want to stretch away from eachother.
Hello Polycount! Today we are very excited to announce Textur.us, a cloud based Texture Management Plugin for Photoshop. We all hate wrangling downloads, renaming files and moving folders around just to manage our textures. Not to mention we usually have different texture libraries at work and at home and often find…
(Wasn't sure if this was the right forum category, please let me know if I need to move it!) Last year I started my first year doing Game Art at university. We primarily create 3D models using 3DS Max (second and third years are taught ZBrush, but first years stick to Max at first). We had one project where we needed to…
