Mostly for illustrators, but I'm going for the portfolio reviews from the art directors from Naughty Dog and Sony. Can't decide which. Haven't had my portfolio reviewed since 2009. Should I go the printed route or hand them a laptop with all the huge images? Anyone else going? Maybe want to split some costs with a married,…

Hey Guys, is there any good way to set up a camera to fit a concept you are doing? I'm working in maya and i find that my scale gets really off, so i'd like to set up my camera to fit the Concept better and from there work on my blockout In this case this picture?
Whats the difference, It looks like pelt "relaxes" (haha) the uvs more. However what concerns me is how this will effect texturing. In other words which option would be better for hand painted textures?
The viewport shows my alphas properly, but when I render I am getting a white halo around the edges. I have switched renderers between scanline, mental ray, and V-Ray and I get the same result everytime. Any ideas?
I was thinking, when I do a render and my output window shows up telling me what it is doing and it says my version of Mental Ray is from Feb 2 2011 and that sounds kind of old. Is there a newer version out and if so how do i get it and what does it add? Thanks
Hello. I'm still pretty new at this and I'm having a problem importing static meshes from Maya. I know how to export them via FBX but when I import them to UDK they always import without the curves. I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question but once again I'm fairly new.
