Simple enough, I am attempting to do a head sculpt for the first time and desire advice/critiques/someone to tell me to change careers. I started with almighty_gir's basemesh found in this thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98115 So credit to him for that. Here's what I have so far: Here it is smoothed…
I've been looking at other peoples meshes of famous people and wanted to try and capture the likeness of another human being. I found a profile and front picture of Taylor Swift and got to work. This is the head I've got so far but it looks pretty generic. Any tips on better capturing a persons likeness? I'm sure a texture…
I have been working off and on for maybe two months, and am dragging my feet. I kind of hit a road block with the ears and hair. I started by using a scan of my head so that I would get the proportions right. Unfortunately I am having trouble lining up photos of my ears with the sculpt... I am thinking of just skipping…

So I guess it's best to ask the professionals :D What's is wrong? What's missing? What to do next? Paint over? Thanks for your help.…
Hey guys, It's been a while since my last thread. I'm working on a small project - a simple head sculpt for my portfolio. I'm not planning on retopologizing or even texturing this character. I just want to build the basic sculpt in full detail and create a render with Keyshot. Here is the progress I've made after today.…
I found this at a thrift store a while ago and thought it'd be something people might be interested in having some nice, high-res photos of for reference.
