Hi guys, Recently I've been looking into starting to learn hand-painting when it comes to props and texturing. It's an area that really interests me. I thought I'd have a go today at a totem pole from the Sonic games. Bear in mind I'm still quite new to modelling too. Any crit would be great!
Hello! I noticed that most people here do 3D animation, but is there anyone interested in hand-drawn, frame by frame? I recently practiced some small anim loop, and I'd like to ask for some feedback. The animation has 6 frames per second. 1/3 of frames are duplicated for looping. https://www.youtube.com/6xrPY42A1_U

So I'm trying to diversify my portfolio a bit. I'm thinking some hand painted awesomeness would do the trick. I've gone over the tutorials on the wiki and played around a bit. I figured I'd try something on the easier side of things, a wood beam. Here's the texture flat and a render. Any C&C would be greatly appreciated :)…
The following image is a model I did recently, and I'd really like to upgrade its looks with some decent glass. I'm wondering what techniques some of you use to hand paint glass that looks nice (on objects that will only have a diffuse map, no spec / normals / reflection, etc). Some links to tutorials would be appreciated…
