Hi PCs! Whats the best way to model a Round headed bolt both for highpoly and lowpoly use? I Cant get rid of this flat spot on the bolt. How do you guys model that? A schoolmate showed me a technique but i forget how he is doing this. Here the LowPoly: Greetings Gazu
It started with a torso sculpt but i ended up spending more time on the head and kept the torso as a sketch, the back especially is a bit of a mess. But any feedback is highly appreciated. (I also realized a bit too late that the eyeballs are wayyyy too big once i swapped them out for textured ones).

My 3D head, I mean. Rendering with mental ray, final gather turned on. Raytrace is not turned on ... I don't think. Wondering why I'm getting these weird shadows. Also ... Thanks in advance.
Do you have a save file where you have the face as a planar head? Sounds like you made an earnest attempt, would definitely be interested in helping you see what the planar head examples are trying to communicate.
